After three amazing weeks at Boyd’s Campground on Stock Island we begin our slow drive out of the Florida Keys. Luckily we snagged a one night stay at Bahia Honda State Park. It’s one of the hardest campgrounds to get into in the keys and we couldn’t believe it when they had a cancellation. We snagged it up and so glad we did. Bahia Honda is amazing. Even if you cannot camp there you have to visit. The Bay and Ocean are gorgeous and there is the old US Highway 1 roadway and bridge to see. It’s a scuba and snorkeling paradise and the bay side is so calm for paddle boarding. We are going to try again to see if we can get a few days in 2022 for when we go back to the keys. The day ended with an amazing sunset and it was probably the best one we’ve seen in the keys the whole time.
