After spending the morning recovering from the previous days disaster drive we decided to make the most of our day and explore some of the Washington DC monuments and memorials. We set the GPS for the Washington Monument and luckily scored a parking spot right by the park. We paid for 2 hours and figured that would be a good amount of time to explore with the kiddos. After a long travel day and with another travel day tomorrow, we didn’t want to tax them too much. It was a gorgeous day and it felt great to see the monuments and memorials again.
