Brand New to Us RV
On December 1st, after a month of making arrangements, we took the trip back to Groton, CT to pick up our new to us RV. It was not to be the easiest of days. An impending noreaster was coming. Our first scheduled ferry was cancelled and we had to take a later boat over. This caused about a 2 hour delay. Once we finally made it over, our seller Ian, picked us up and did a 2 hour tour of the RV to get us going. Even with the impending storm we felt it was important to do this. We never RV’d before!
Once our tour was over, we dropped Ian off and began our journey home. It was a total of 5 hours to make it back home and we drove through sunny skies, cloudy skies, sleet, snow, slush and eventually a down pour. But we made it and our RV is home.
Our First Trip
We’d been jonesing to get out in the RV since we brought it home, so what better first trip then to spend our First Christmas in it. We took it to Jordana’s parent’s house so she could be there with the kids and all her visiting relatives. It was awesome!
2020…
So with the craziness of this year, our RV trips we had planned were all cancelled. We had planned to go to Boston for the 400 year anniversary of the Plymouth landing to see the Mayflower II sailing and take a tour. We’ve tried a few other times to book some trips, but haven’t had any luck. So far JP has the most days in the RV, while under quarantine for corona virus. He spent 16 days living on the RV all alone.
As of now, we were finally able to book a local trip for mid August and we will be testing out all of our RV systems and getting things in order for the big day when we go full time.
