So I finally got around to taking the RV to the dump station to unload the contents of our black and gray tanks. Before I could venture into that fun, I had to prep and check tire pressures. So, the front tires are not that big of an issue. The valve stem is at a weird angle that requires using the angled inflator valve. Moving to the rear wheels is where the issue began. After removing the cover off the tire, the front tire access is rather simple and the valve stem is easy to inflate. The issue began with the inner valve tire stem. There were no tire extensions, so I had to finagle my hand through the wheel rim hole to twist off the valve cap. What a pain. It was even harder to line up the inflator valve with the tire stem valve. What a pain and add on the 90% humidity and I was soaked. LOL. So I am going to look into a valve extender for the inner tires to try and make our life a bit easier.
After arriving at the RV dealer in Wading River that has a dump station things were going well. I was all making good time in getting the sere hose hooked up to our dump valve and secured the other end in the dump receiving spot and proceeded to open the black tank valve. Shortly after doing so, and this is why I wear gloves, a pin hole leak was detected and some waste water was leaking from the sere hose right by the collar connection. I immediately had a flash of the RV Movie scene where Robin Williams is at the dump station. Luckily I was able to support the sewer hose by the collar connection and minimize the leakage. Once the black tank was done I let loos the gray water tank and held firm that the hose would hold. Finally, it was complete and only minimal leakage occurred. I was lucky.
So once I returned home it was on to Amazon to order a new sewer hose and it should be to us shortly. To note, the sewer hose currently on the RV was from the previous owner, so it’s possible it ran its course. In any note, I ordered the extreme hose by Camco. Not going to take any chances. haha
